The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 will be only four months away on July 20, but the hype for the film has started and is growing! San Diego Comic Con, a yearly event in San Francisco, has welcomed The Hunger Games since the first movie in 2012, and celebrated the last film this afternoon.

Hall H was the home to the Mockingjay - Part 2 panel this year, and we couldn't have laughed more at hearing everything that happened! Rebel Reporter Jackie will talk about the event later in the post!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 made an epic debut with drums and this amazing propo.

Here is a look at the beginning!

Our Rebel Reporter, Jackie, texted us as soon as it happened with:
I'm officially dead.
From then on, the cast was introduced! Take a look below.

Soon after, the first reactions to the theatrical trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 came in and we can't wait to see it!
The tweet we've included basically represents how everyone described the trailer. "Phenomenal, incredible, epic, amazing." Our Rebel Reporter:
I have tears in my eyes... new trailer.
The questions had us laughing all over the place! Here are some of them.

The quote of the day:
It looked like a VERY fun time, and we can't wait to see the full panel. A HUGE thank you to our Rebel Reporter Jackie for reporting for us.

"The last ever Hunger Games panel at Comic Con." I was gonna be there. No matter what. My first Comic Con? I didn't know what to expect. What are the rules? How are thing going to work? I wanted to make sure I got into the infamous Hall H. [Where the Mockingjay Part 2 Panel took place.] I've heard so much about it but never had the pleasure of personally setting foot on it. The promise land if you will, lol. But to get to this promise land, it would require a lot of waiting in what could easily be the biggest line I've ever seen. After about the fifth hour in line, I remember thinking,"I didn't ask for any of this. I just wanted to see the exclusives and see Josh Hutcherson live." I finally got hold of one of the wristbands well after 1am in the morning.  Which to be honest, wasn't too bad. I had easily calculated I would be waiting until 7 in the morning [to get a wristband].

When they let us into Hall H, I was filled with excitement, nerves, and over all happiness that I actually manged to get in!!! Comic Con's Director of.. something introduced Lionsgate's panel and so it began. Drums. Drums everywhere. Drums which lead is to a message from D13. The one where the Mockingjay comes out in her red uniform. This could have been all they showed and the long hours spent waiting in line would have been worth it. But that was only the beginning. Conan came out and introduced the panelists. Starting with Francis Lawrence [Director] followed by Nina Jacobson [Producer], Willow Shields [Prim], Liam Hemsworth [Gale], Josh Hutcherson [Peeta], and the Mockingjay herself, Jennifer Lawrence, at last (looking gorgeous). The panel was everything a true Hunger Games fan would hope it would be. It gave us a lot of Joshifer moments. (It gave us a super flirty Liam). It gave us a lot of information on the movie itself, as well. Nothing 'special' of course. Enough to remind us that the movies are in good hands, that it will be faithful to the book and will be EPIC. Although, the lovely Miss Lawrence did reveal that [spoiler start] her nephew would be part of the toast babies. [Spoiler End] It was sweet to see her panic a little bit at the realization that she wasn't supposed to say that, because you could tell that Josh was trying to help her out by making fun of the situation. Oh, the feels...

There was also a lot of comical banter between the trio of friends. When Liam said that he and Josh Hutcherson might share a kiss in the movie, the room exploded. They talked about wrapping the movies and the long hugged they shared [*sob*]. We learned a lot about our Mockingjay, like the fact that braiding hair is not her forte or that her commitment to archery is no joke. Don't you dare call her bow and arrow a crossbow, people. She's a long-bow kinda girl :)

Another highlight of the panel was when Josh did his cricket noises and I'm pretty sure he debuted his squirrel sound, which is just as great if not better.

On a more serious note, they did talk about the epilogue a little bit. Francis was talking about it and basically all he said was that the epilogue was gonna kill us all. We all gonna die, ladies and gentlemen.

A moment that brought to my eyes was when one lucky audience member asked Jennifer if any of the characters had rubbed of on her. She, of coursed, joked that Rosalyn's drinking from American Hustle rubbed of n her. But then she got serious and said she would like to think that out all of them, if anybody rubbed of on her, she would hope it would be Katniss Everdeen.
They ended the panel by replaying the trailer which got even better the second time around. And then sadly, it was over way too soon.
See the panel below, thanks to Movieguide. See
