We are VERY pleased to announce that Lionsgate has announced, via Forbes, that Mockingjay - Part 2 will no longer be released in IMAX 3D in the United States. The news debuted on Forbes on an article you can read below, and trust me -- either way -- after seeing that trailer, I'm sure that Mockingjay - Part 2 will be just as great in 2D!
I love the 3D format and I know that Mockingjay part 2 will play perfectly in 3D and 2D internationally – but I’m pleased that we’re maintaining the 2D only (and IMAX) formats domestically. It is the best of all worlds!

The Main Points:
Mockingjay - Part 2 will no longer play in IMAX 3D format in the United States. Formats such as 2D and 2D IMAX will still be active.
Mockingjay - Part 2, internationally, is still being discussed. The only country who has confirmed it's happening is Russia, per the teaser trailer that came out yesterday. (read more about that HERE)
