WARNING: This post contains spoilers on the ending of Mockingjay - Part 1. To cover the text that will appear on the preview page, we will once again repeat. DO NOT read this if you have not seen The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

Fans and non-fans of the movies, books and rumors may have been touched at the end of Mockingjay - Part 1. Peeta, tortured and beaten sits on a doctor's table calm until Katniss calls his name. You may not have caught it, but Peeta looks up as soon as he hears, "Peeta."

In the instant of 30 seconds, his arms are around Katniss' neck and the shock factor goes up '0 to 100.'

If you read the book, you knew what was coming. I read all three and let me tell you, it was WAY more extreme than I imagined. So, let's talk about what happened to Peeta.

In the Capitol, a method of torture was used on Peeta. It is called 'hijacking.' Tracker-Jacker venom is injected into someone. The effect of the venom can cause reverse memories and hallucinations. If you remember in the first games, Katniss was stung by a Tracker-Jacker. What we imagine is that they injected Venom into Peeta, just as they showed him other memories of hers. For example, they might have shown him a clip of Peeta being hurt, and it was blamed on Katniss, etc. It really sucks.

They make Katniss seem as a weapon. Someone who will hurt Peeta. Peeta doesn't realize she's not and doesn't remember past feelings towards her. So, when he saw her, he freaked out. If you look at the cuties last face before Mockingjay ends, he is very, very scared. He thinks he has been captured by mutts and doesn't know who is who, what is what and is very scared. Basically, he is losing his memory and the only memory he does have is inaccurate.

Does Peeta get back to normal?
That's what Part 2 is for....... ;)
