Deleted Scenes: Facts and Opinions

Mockingjay - Part 1 Press 

Included in the Mockingjay - Part 1 DVD, Digital and Blu - Ray Releases are, yes, get excited DELETED SCENES! Francis Lawrence, the director of Catching Fire and Mockingjay, announced that there are more deleted scenes in Mockingjay - Part 1 than in Catching Fire and that all there is a total of about 10 or 12 minutes worth of scenes. Read what has been confirmed and what predictions.

1. CONFIRMED: Dialogue Between Peeta and President Snow
According to both Donald Sutherland (Snow) and Francis Lawrence, there will be a scene included where Peeta and President Snow have a dialogue. It ends with this:
Peeta: So your asking me to say all these things?
Snow: You have everything right except one detail. I'm not asking.

2. Spoiler: CONFIRMED: "Don't expect us to be too impressed. We just saw Finnick Odair in his underwear."
Just. Just. Imagine. Sam, who plays Finnick, has confirmed this. Him and Katniss share a brief dialogue, and Boggs delivers the famous line.

“Finnick?” I say. “Maybe some pants?” He looks down at his legs as if noticing his outfit for the first time. Then he whips off his hospital gown, leaving him in just his underwear. “Why? Do you find this”—he strikes a ridiculously provocative pose—“distracting?”

3. CONFIRMED: D13 Meadow
While we are not sure what this will be, but Francis has confirmed it.
POSSIBLE: Katniss and a high-ranking District 13 Official (Coin, Gale, Plutarch) are showing Katniss around.

4. POSSIBLE:  Capitol Point Of View
MAYBE a couple of Johanna/Peeta interactions, etc.

5. POSSIBLE: District Point Of View
Another District Point of View?

6. POSSIBLE: The Night of the Quarter Quell
Elizabeth Banks tells us that Effie leaves with the clothes on her back, the night of the ending of the Quarter Quell. Just think.......
